Red Velvet Brownie
Ingredients
Red Velvet Brownie:
- 6 each Eggs, large
- 1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
- 12 oz Melted Butter (3 sticks)
- 1 Cup Cocoa Powder
- 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Red Food Coloring
Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 oz Butter, Softened
- 8 oz Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 4 Cups Powdered Sugar
Instructions
Red Velvet Brownies:
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Line a 9×13" Pan with Parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs with a whisk until fluffy and light yellow. Add both sugars and whisk. Add remaining ingredients, and mix with a rubber spatula to combine.
- Pour the batter into your parchment lined pan and bake for 45-55 minutes.
- Check for doneness with the tried-and-true toothpick method: a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan should come out clean. When it's done, remove to a rack to cool. You will need to let the brownies coool for at least one hour before adding cream cheese frosting.
Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe:
- Beat cream cheese, softened butter, salt and vanilla together in a large bowl with an electric mixer until light and creamy.
- Gradually beat in confectioners' sugar until smooth.
- Once you have let the Brownies fully cool. Spread Cream Cheese frosting evenly overtop.
- Cut to desired size. I suggest 12 servings.
- Bone Apple Teeth!
